Kraken Sports: Designed by Divers, Built for the Real World
I started Kraken Sports because I wanted better dive lights — ones that were powerful, reliable, and made by people who actually dive.
My name is Doug Taleski, and I grew up in and around the water. My family ran a dive shop in Canada, and for years we imported lights and accessories from all over the world. They worked, but I always thought: we can do better. In 2015, that idea turned into Kraken Sports.
Our Story
What began with a few dive torches has grown into a full line of underwater video lights, strobes, camera housings, and imaging accessories trusted by divers around the world. Every Kraken product is designed with input from real divers — professionals, instructors, and photographers — and built to perform in tough underwater conditions.
Innovation & Manufacturing
By 2020, we took control of every step of production by opening our own manufacturing facility in Foshan, China. Aside from the lenses, every part of a Kraken light or strobe is designed, tested, and assembled in-house. That’s how we make sure every product that leaves our doors meets the same standards we dive with ourselves.
